AX-912 Antenna Pros High Gain Indoor Digital HD TV Antenna 2012 Model

Highest Rated Indoor HD TV Antenna | Antenna Pros AX-912. Get Free HDTV Programming
This antenna will allow you to pick up the new digital TV signals and get free high def programming. It is the best indoor amplified antenna that we carry. There are several reasons why you should use a digital TV antenna:
- Programming is free. You do not have to make monthly payments to enjoy HDTV. You pay once for the antenna and then you can watch all the local channels for free.
- Clear crisp picture. Over the air signals are not compressed like the cable or satellite TV signals so the picture is clearer. Most of our customers are surprised how clear their picture is when they install their new antenna.

This amplified indoor digital antenna is unique in that it is a high gain directional indoor antenna. Most indoor antennas are omnidirectional with low gain so they are only effective when the user lives close to the broadcast towers. The AX-912 is actually good for people who live close to the broadcast towers but also for people who may live further away. It has a long range because it is amplified and directional which makes the AX-912 indoor antenna perfect for people who live further away from broadcast towers and can not put an outdoor antenna on their roof. Use this amplified indoor directional antenna with an outdoor antenna and get more stations! This will help you get the most stations possible.
- Compact size. Only 7" height, 7" wide, and 7" deep!
- The most powerful indoor antenna at 32-36 dB gain!

Instructions for Digital TV:
This amplified antenna is very easy to use. Just plug the coaxial cable into the antenna connection on your high definition tv. Make sure you have the dish part of this antenna pointed in the direction of the antenna towers in your area. Check the DTV tool below to find out the correct direction. Then go to your TV's menu and try to find something which can select the source and pick antenna instead of cable or satellite. This varies from TV to TV look at your TV's manual for instructions on how to set up the TV for antennas. Once you have selected antenna you can choose Auto Tuning or Channel Scan. This can also be called Auto Programming. Once you have selected that, you will need to wait as your TV scans through all of the available stations. Once you are done scanning, you should be able to use your TV's remote to change the channels.
Instructions for an Analog TV:
These are the same steps as for a digital TV except for one thing. You would need to connect this antenna to a digital converter box. Then connect the converter box to your TV. You would use the converter box to scan for stations.

Before you buy a digital antenna you should check to see if your location is able to pick up any stations. Use the FCC tool on our Antenna Selector page to see if you have reception in your area.
Once you enter your address or zip code and click on Go! the tool will display the digital tv channels at your location.
If you do not have any stations around you then you would not be able to pick up any stations no matter which antenna you get because of the geography around you or the lack of towers in your area. If you do have a list of stations displayed, you can click on the station to see where the broadcast tower is located relative to your location. You can also click on the image of the tower to see the tower distance from you. Once you have a good idea where the towers are located and what channels you can receive, you can begin to select the right antenna for you.

Not too bad for an indoor antenna

Not for sure of my needs, and after speaking with the customer service on line rep, ordered the Ax-912 indoor antenna. Arrived not packaged too well. Set it up, and it did pick up several channels. But not as well as I had hoped for.
The local stations are only 25 miles or less away, thought this antenna would pick them up better.
Not too impressed with the reception I was getting, I did RMA this back to AntennaHub, five days after I received it. No hassles from AntennaHub. Also their live support is very good.
I had purchased at the same time an AX-969 outdoor antenna. It works very well. I would highly recommend purchasing from AntennaHub for their good service, knowledge, and tech support.

The unit pulled in twice the stations I used to pull in on my Radio Shack amplified unit. The remote control did not work well but I did not really use it.
Great product.

It took about 9 day to get. I open up the box an thought to my self this is small. I set up the unit and did the scan on the TV box and I was picking a lot more channel then what I had. for a small unit it real picked up the channels.

Got this within 2 days after I made my order. I was a little surprised it got here so fast. This was pretty simple to use. I didn't have the same problem that the other review had with the power. I just plugged my ac plug into the wall and the coax into my new hd tv. I have been using cable and never used an antenna before so I had some problems getting set up. I didn't pick up any stations at first so I called antennahub and they walked me through the process. Apparently I have to turn my cable setting in my tv menu to off and then scan for antenna channels. Once I did that I got 63 channels! I am so happy I can say goodbye to my cable company. I didn't need to use my remote much since they told me I just need to point it to the northwest. I just keep it there since I am getting all my stations crystal clear.

Excellent antenna (with some faults)

After ditching my expensive cable service this week, I installed this indoor antenna in its place and I have no regrets. Both VHF and UHF stations come in crystal clear. What I like the most about this indoor antenna is that once I found the "sweet spot" for all the channels, I rarely need to stand up and readjust it for a different channel.
I have a number of issues that I would like to share with you. First off, the antenna does not come with instructions. I know what you are thinking. How difficult is it to hook up an antenna like this? I found out that it was difficult at first. After plugging it in, I allowed my TV to search for available channels. It only found two. Since I live a stone's throw away from Philadelphia, PA I tried it again and once again I ended up with the same result. So I disconnected the AC power cord and hooked up a 12 volt power supply I had lying around the house. Now I started seeing results. I ended up with over 30 channels. Virtually all came in sharp. Exactly why it would not work with the AC outlet was a mystery by me. In addition to this problem, the remote control that came with it did not work. It is of little concern to me. I need some exercise so when the antenna needs adjusting, all I need do is get up and correct it. I installed fresh batteries in it so why it will not work was another mystery to me.
Do I have any regrets? Absolutely not! In spite of the two faults mentioned above, for about $60.00, I have broadcast channels that come in clear and I am not going to line the pockets of greedy cable service providers ever again.
I cannot give it the 5 star treatment because of the faults mentioned above. If you do order it and end up with these problems, return it until they get it corrected.
